
Dr Dorothy Armstrong (MSc PhD) is a highly experienced expert Occupational Therapist who specialises in the area of Neurodivergence (Autism, ADHD, Developmental Coordination Disorder / Dyspraxia).
Dr Armstrong’s Services include:
- Education – Continued Professional Development Programmes, Training Courses, Workshops and Webinars. Bespoke training for organisations.
- Projects – Management and delivery of projects relating to building Neuroaffirmative environments and practices along with delivering Occupational Therapy to neurodivergent young people.
- Clinical Supervision for Occupational Therapists
She received her PhD in 2017, and also holds an Honours Degree and Master’s in Occupational Therapy along with a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and certification in teaching at third level. She has a wide range of expertise in working with autistic people, and people with Developmental Coordination Disorder (Dyspraxia), Dysgraphia, and ADHD. She has also extensive experience working in the area of mental health. Dorothy has worked as a lecturer at the University of Galway and in Oxford Brookes University in England. She has made television and radio appearances and is the author of the book ‘The Next Adventure: Transitioning to Secondary School when you have Developmental Coordination Disorder’.
